Best Andaman Honeymoon Packages 2026: 5-Day Itinerary and Inclusions

The honest question isn't which package is "best." It's which decisions actually change how your honeymoon feels, and which ones are just marketing language.

Honeymoon Guide Updated September 2026 · 8 min read

What actually separates one Andaman honeymoon package from another

Most "best Andaman honeymoon package" lists are really just a ranked list of the same handful of operators, with little explanation of what genuinely changes between a package at ₹40,000 and one at ₹1,20,000 for the same 5 days.

The honest answer is a short list of real decisions, not a brand name. Once you understand what each one changes, you can judge any package, from us or anyone else, on whether it actually fits how you want to spend the trip.

DECISION DIMENSIONS

The decisions that actually matter

  • Hotel comfort: the difference between a simple beach hotel and a resort with a private pool or sea-view room is usually the single biggest cost and experience difference in the whole trip.
  • Island coverage: seeing Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) and Neil (Shaheed Dweep) means more, but also two ferry transfers and two check-ins instead of one relaxed base.
  • Ferry type: government ferries are cheaper; private ferries run faster, more comfortably and at better times, which matters more on a honeymoon than most other trips.
  • Transfer timing: a package that has you arriving late and immediately catching an early ferry the next morning reads the same on paper as one with a relaxed first day, but feels very different.
  • Activities included versus optional: snorkelling and diving are usually where "inclusions" get vague. Know whether it is a shared group trip or a private one, and whether diving is a trial dive or a certification course.
  • Pace: how many islands and activities are packed into 5 days versus deliberately left open, especially on a trip where downtime together is often the actual point.
  • Flights: whether flights are included in the quoted price or added separately, and whether the airport connection times actually work with the rest of the itinerary.
  • Romantic inclusions: candlelight dinners, room decoration or a couple's spa session are commonly offered as add-ons rather than automatic inclusions. Confirm what is actually included versus optional and separately priced.
  • Buffers: whether the itinerary has any slack if a ferry is delayed or cancelled, which happens more often than most packages account for.
  • Cancellation and change terms: worth confirming before you book, not after your plans change.

PACKAGE CATEGORIES

Package categories, and what actually changes at each level

These are planning categories to help you compare options, not fixed products; treat them as a way to read any package you are looking at, not a menu.

Andaman honeymoon planning categories and what typically changes at each level
Category Hotel Ferries Typical pace
Budget Simple beach hotel, double-sharing Government ferries Efficient, fewer buffer days
Standard 3-star beach resort Mostly private ferries One island change, some free time
Premium Sea-view or pool-access rooms Private ferries throughout Two islands, deliberate downtime
Luxury Premium beachfront resort, top room categories Private ferries and transfers throughout Fewer activities, more unstructured time together

Worth knowing before you compare

Andaman genuinely suits couples who want nature, reef and a bit of adventure together: Havelock's better resorts and Neil Island's quieter beaches offer real seclusion. It leans more nature-forward than luxury-forward overall, compared with a purely resort-style honeymoon destination. That is not a downside, it is a different kind of honeymoon, and worth knowing before you compare package inclusions against a different type of destination.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

A realistic 5-day honeymoon itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair)

Private transfer to your hotel. If your flight lands with time to spare, the Cellular Jail light and sound show is a genuinely moving way to start the trip, not just a formality to get through.

Day 2

Ferry to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock)

A private ferry transfer is worth the difference here: it is faster, more comfortable, and lets you choose a sailing time that does not force an early start.

Day 3

Reef and beach day

Snorkelling or a trial dive at Elephant Beach in the morning, open time in the afternoon, and sunset at Radhanagar Beach, regularly rated among Asia's best.

Day 4

Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep), or a slower Havelock day

Neil is quieter than Havelock and a genuinely different pace, but it adds a ferry transfer each way. On a 5-day trip, this is the day to be honest about whether you want to see more or slow down more.

Day 5

Return and departure

Ferry back to Sri Vijaya Puram with a comfortable buffer before your flight, rather than the tightest connection you can find.

If you can take 6 days

The extra night removes the pressure on days 4 and 5 entirely, and on a honeymoon specifically, that buffer is usually worth more than an additional activity would be.

Reading a package's inclusions properly

Before comparing prices, check what a package actually states for each of these: whether flights are included, which specific hotel and room category, whether ferries are private or government, how many activities are included versus optional add-ons, and whether meals are room-only, breakfast, or half board. Two packages that look similar on price can be genuinely different trips once these are laid out side by side.

HOW HIP-HIP HOLIDAYS HELPS

What Hip-Hip Holidays actually helps with

Hip-Hip Holidays' honeymoon approach is built around one idea: not everything, just what matters to you. That means the same decisions covered above, worked through with you rather than pre-packaged into a fixed tier: which hotel is actually worth the extra cost for your two of you, whether Neil Island is worth the extra transfer on your dates, and where a private ferry genuinely changes the experience versus where it does not.

If you want to see how that works in full, including how Hip-Hip Holidays approaches a honeymoon end to end, our Honeymoon page is the place to look next.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Is Andaman a good honeymoon destination, or is it more of an adventure trip? +

Both. Havelock's better resorts and Neil Island offer real seclusion for couples, but the islands overall lean more nature and reef-forward than purely luxury-resort-forward. It suits couples who want some activity and natural beauty alongside romance, more than a couple looking purely for a resort-and-spa week.

Is 5 days enough for an Andaman honeymoon? +

It is workable but tight, mainly around the day 4 island transfer. Six days removes that pressure without cutting anything from the trip, if your dates allow it.

Should we book private or government ferries for a honeymoon? +

Private ferries cost more but are faster, more comfortable and let you choose better departure times, which tends to matter more on a honeymoon than on other trips.

Are romantic touches like candlelight dinners usually included? +

Usually not automatically. They are commonly offered as add-ons rather than default inclusions, so it is worth confirming exactly what is included before comparing package prices.
